  4. Jun 16,  · Machine Head's Burn My Eyes is without a doubt one of the heaviest metal records of the '90s. This is one of my all-time favourite records. In my opinion, this is their best album /5().
  5. Listen to "Burn My Eyes" on SPOTIFY Fun facts about Burn My Eyes: The first song written for the album was “Death Church" inspired heavily by the album “Streetcleaner" by Godflesh - Started in Oct , Machine Head was a side project while Robb was still in Vio-Lence.
  6. Machine Head are one of the most consistent bands with every album being good in different ways. Burn My Eyes is still my personal favorite though. It was their first and most original. There's a certain edge to it that their modern music lacks. The Blackening was awesome and I didn't have anything against it but you can't beat a classic like /5().
  7. Machine Head - Death Church Lyrics: Well I look at justice in a different light I been to jail, it didn't make me right Try and conform, but won't be deaf, blind, dumb Been beaten down, just harder I've become [Chorus:] Death church rising Hate chur%(3).
  8. Chris Kontos was just a beast behind the kit and whilst I think Dave McClain is a great fit for Machine Head I just don't think he ever reaches that pure tribal aggression showcased on Burn My Eyes. Kontos really drives the album along with his raw drumming and the guitar riffs seem to flow alongside that/5.
